At Aircon Group, we want to share some great news with you. If you are the director of a heavy manufacturing or data centre in England, Wales or NI, you can now enter a competition, running from 27 September to 6 December 2021, for the chance to win up to £60m of grant funding to support your business.
The Industrial Energy Transformation Fund (IETF) will provide funding in the form of a grant scheme for feasibility and engineering studies and for the deployment of industrial energy efficiency and deep decarbonisation projects.
IETF will support businesses with high energy use to help them transition to a low carbon future and cut their bills and emissions through increased energy efficiency and decarbonisation. This is a crucial part of the Government’s strategy for tackling climate change and reaching Net Zero by 2050.
This runs alongside other government programmes that offer innovation and early demonstration support, including the Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator and Industrial Fuel Switching, and will strive to transform an important part of the UK economy.
As well as heavy manufacturing and data centres, this grant funding could also benefit mining and quarrying companies, recovery and recycling of materials companies, and energy efficiency and decarbonisation technology providers.
If you are the owner of a manufacturing plant, at Aircon Group, we can capture and repurpose hot air. For data centres, we can cool the rooms so the servers run at an optimal level.
All you need to do is apply for the funding with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) before 6 December 2021 and we can provide a feasibility study, engineering study, and also install the required equipment.
