Refrigeration / Airconditioning Service Experience

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Effectively diagnose, identify faults and failures with equipment and systems, providing effective solutions and repairs.
  • Carry out routine planned preventative maintenance
  • Complete all documents associated with reactive & planned preventative maintenance works
  • Liaise closely with the client (Commercial clients) to maintain excellent customer relations
  • Work in a safe and controlled manor following all necessary internal health & safety processes and client specific site requirements

Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Engineer Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced Refrigeration & Air conditioning engineer, with a minimum Refrigeration Handling C&G 2079 (FGas)
  • An individual who has previously worked on a variety of Refrigeration Systems, Fridge, Freezers, Display Cabinets, Cold-rooms, Chillers
  • Air-conditioning experience on Split A/C Systems also VRV, AHU
  • Mechanical and Electrical Skills
  • Full Driving license
  • Clean Enhanced DBS

We are looking to employ on a part time basis a highly skilled Senior Refrigeration Engineer working 3 days a week having good communication skills to help with training mature Trainee Engineers.

In this role, you will apply your wealth of industry knowledge to provide expert fault diagnosis and service repairs, when no training is being done then tasks will be varied between service and maintenance working of refrigeration and Airconditioning equipment.

This position is tailored to offer a healthy work-life balance, allowing you to pass on your expertise without the demands of a full-time, high-pressure rota.

Person Specification & Requirements

  • Qualifications: Minimum NVQ Level 2/3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent) and Category 1 F-Gas Certification.
  • Experience: Extensive experience (15+ years) in maintaining, servicing, and installing commercial refrigeration systems.
  • Skills: Exceptional knowledge, strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic capabilities, and familiarity with a wide range of refrigerants.
  • Attributes: Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the understanding of the positives of being a part of a strong team .

  • Tech Mentor: Provide guidance, coaching, and on-site support to Trainee Engineers, share knowledge regarding complex system operations,
  •  Fault Finding: Focus on intricate diagnostic tasks and root-cause analysis across commercial refrigeration equipment (e.g., cold rooms, pack systems, chillers)

                VRV’s and simple split A/C systems.

Excellent Salary / hourly rate dependant on experience and skill set.
